Listening to the stories held within the body.

Approach

Find lasting relief facilitated through skilled massage therapy and movement. We work collaboratively and allow the innate wisdom of your system to guide the session. This deeply restorative offering not only addresses physical pain but also promotes emotional and mental well-being for a more vibrant life. I welcome all varieties of lived experiences to enjoy a refuge from the outside world, unwind and integrate as we delight in the fluidity of life.

The Listening Touch Massage & Bodywork is built upon the foundational belief that our bodies have an innate wisdom to share. These messages speak through the way or body expresses itself. Through the use of touch based therapies we can tune into these subtle whispers in the tissues, bones, breath and rhythms. Whether chronic pain is impacting your life, you are recovering from injury or your nervous system feel overwhelmed from the stress of life, I am here to support you.

I specialize in myofascial release & craniosacral therapy. Both modalities are wonderful for contacting the system in a gentle, yet profound way. My work is rooted in science that supports long lasting change. Simultaneously, I approach this work as an art form. I honor your individuality and the unique way your body expresses itself.

Values

Consent

I honor the yes’s and no’s of you and your body. Your consent is alway held with the highest regard. I will ask throughout session for your consent and I empower you to voice anything that may come up. We listen to the body as well, always tuning into the subtle ways the body says yes and no.

Collaboration

I believe magic happens through collaboration! You are the expert of your body and your lived experience. I am so excited to get to collaborate with you and the intelligence of your system. Thoughout our work, you are invited to be an active participant in your healing.

Client Centered

I center you and your body’s response to treatment above my own agenda. Your body holds the wisdom that guides our work. We listen to what the system is asking for and center your embodied experience.

Inclusivity

I practice offering a space that is inclusive to all identities and lived experiences. Discounts are available to people who identify as queer, trans, BIPOC, or disabled in the hopes of creating more access to care for historically marginalized groups.

Curiosity

We remain curious throughout session. This allow us to learn new things and allow for our work together to evolve with time. I am truly curious about you, your pain and how our work together can be most helpful. Through remaining curious we allow ourselves to continue discovering how the body speaks.

Health at Every Size

Health has no one size. I work to dispel weight stigma in my own practice as well as the wellness industry as a whole. You are welcome as you are to enjoy a place to rest, free from judgement that can show up in other bodywork spaces.

I live, work, practice and play on the indigenous land of many tribes who made their homes along the colombia river. Some of these tribes include the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, and Molalla. I also acknowledge and offer respect to the land itself, where many others throughout time lived, played and engaged in healing work. I honor that many of the modalities I practice are not inherent to me and my people, rather they reflect or are directly derived from indigenous practice. Craniosacral Therapy holds its roots in what became osteopathy, originally medicine of the Shawnee and Cherokee people.
