Licensed Massage Therapist, movement educator and artist based in Portland, Oregon.
My approach is non-forceful, allowing for the intelligence of the body to guide the work. I specializes in myofascial release, ashiatsu and craniosacral therapy. I believe in the intelligence and wisdom of the body. I understands pain as more than a physical experience and takes into account the physical and emotional components of pain science. I work collaboratively with my clients, centering consent and respect for the body's response to treatment. My work is slow, attuned, poetic and deeply rooted in science that supports long lasting change. Whether you are struggling with chronic pain, recovering from injury or are seeking a moment of rest from the chaos of life, I am honored to support you. I am committed to elevating myself as a practitioner through continuing my education. I see myself as a life long learner and will continue to acquire new information so I can serve you as a skillful and highly educated practitioner.
I began practicing massage in 2021 after graduating from Boulder Massage Therapy Institute in Boulder, CO. I went on to continue my education at Moving Mountain Institute (MMI) in Portland, OR in 2024, where I studied myofascial and craniosacral work. I plan to continue my studies in Visceral Manipulation at MMI in Fall 2024. Prior to pursuing massage I studied dance at the professional level. I received their BFA in Dance from The Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College in New York in 2020. My training has offered me a deep understanding of the body through both the perspective of a bodyworker as well as a mover.
Outside of my work you would most likely find me with my dogs, Atlas & Cub, taking a walk through the forest or lounging in the grass. Otherwise I will be in a studio dancing, exploring a new movement practice, or possibly just laying on the floor for hours feeling my breath, being in awe of what it is to have a body.
